Members of the Senior Citizens' Centre enjoy activities including:
• euchre, indoor bowls, hoy and bingo, which are held once a week;
• concerts on the second Tuesday and fourth Thursday of the month;
• bus trips once a month; and
• old time movies on the first Saturday of each month.
We have a small bus which brings members from their homes to the centre for activities, and then take them home again.
Membership is accepted from people aged 50 years and over. Some members have been in the club since its inception, and are now in their eighties and nineties and still active. Many are in their seventies or younger, and we look forward to more people - particularly younger ones - joining our activities, and helping with the running of the club, and thus enabling the club to continue for many years.
For many, just having somewhere to go, and the friendship of other members is very important to them, and they look forward to their visits to the club.
So if you are looking for something interesting to do, or you'd like to meet some happy people, come and join us at any function you fancy.
We would consider other activities if sufficient interest could be generated.
